Metro Manila (DDS Philippines) — All eyes and ears in the country will be on President Rodrigo Duterte when he delivers his first State of the Nation Address at the Batasang Pambansa, Monday.

Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Sunday said the President wrote the speech himself and that it is a "powerful" one — that it made him cry after reading the speech.

“It'll be a powerful speech that will awaken the patriot in every Filipino," Andanar said. "The speech made me cry.”

Andanar previously said there will be no “blame game” in Duterte’s SONA.

The SONA’s organizers also said the traditional grand red carpet fashion show by members of the Congress and their spouses will no longer happen, in order to shift the people's focus on the President’s message.

The speech, according to Andanar, is estimated to run for at least 30 minutes.

No place for Private media as PTV-4 gets exclusive rights to Duterte’s inauguration

Journalists who are hoping that President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will end his self-imposed boycott of the commercial media upon assuming office on June 30 are in for a disappointment because he wants to take his oath without any of them around.

Incoming Communications Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday (June 20) said only the state-run PTV-4 and Presidential Broadcast Staff Radio-Television Malacanang (PBS-RTVM) will be allowed inside Malacañang for Duterte’s inauguration.

He cited limited space as the reason why commercial media are not invited to Duterte’s inauguration.

“Masikip lang talaga sa loob,” Andanar said, adding that a separate space will be put up where the media could monitor the proceedings.

Duterte will take his oath before Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes at the Rizal Hall, which has a capacity of around 500.

Earthquake in the Philippines on July 18

There have been so many rumors spreading in the net about an alleged clairvoyant named Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose (real name Jucelino Nobrega da Luz) predicted that a string of disasters will rock the world not only in July 2008 but even in September, December and in the years to come.

According to the news report, it has been predicted that the Philippines and Japan will experience an 8 magnitude earthquake on July 18, 2008. Japan will also be devastated with a 20 meters plus tsunami.

In September 18, 2008 another earthquake with a 9.1 magnitude will hit China and will cause a tsunami resulting to the death of more than 1 million people.

America will suffer another terrorist attack on December 17, 2008.

This news is not so good for the naïve and even for older folks as this cause panic in itself. Even my sons are scared of the event.

Experts are confirming this - that all of these are totally false. There is no technology that has been developed as of now that can predict when an earthquake will occur. Experts can only point out which areas will be devastated greatly if hit by an earthquake.

Experts are also confirming that Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose is indeed a fake. He gains popularity by sending emails to famous people after a disaster has happened. He tells them that he predicted that the disaster will happen even before it happened. He forges a postmark on the envelope to make it appear that he wrote the letter before the event took place. He has been exposed for his fraud in the past and many of his alleged “prophecies” did not become true.

The only thing that is sure to happen from now until July 18, 2008 is that you will get high traffic (and of course more income that comes with it) if you write about the keyword “earthquake on July 18, 2008 ,” “Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose,” “Jucelino “Nobrega da Luz”

With so many blogging monetization opportunities on the internet, I find PayPerPost as having the highest integrity. Integrity resulted from its large amount of prudence in terms of selecting the most appropriate blogs to showcase its advertisers. As a personal experience before I finally got accepted into this first post, I have had a few failed attempts. I was never discouraged however. It was however made as a challenge to improve my blog. When I got my first blog accepted, I was excited that I immediately wanted to write something about this site. Warning to Entrecard Openers

I have been one of the enthusiastic members of entrecard. Much as I wanted to make things easy, I was able to find a program through a blog which promises to automatically open those sites with entrecard. Initially, this appears very good. Once installed and you hit the keys specified. It opens first the site which gave out the program. Indeed several sites are appearing and things went on conveniently. I just notice so many sites appearing with no entrecards but I did not mind them at all. The most important thing was I was just enthusiastically droppping my cards to other blogs. However, I noticed that my windows started to slow down and eventually crashed. I tried to have a regular schedule of virus scan and guess wha? The program is a TROJAN spyware. This program sucks. Never use them! If you have it on your computer right now better delete it and forget about the guy who gave you the program. I recommend you try scanning your computer had you installed this bad program.

My little way of helping

I am seeing the future to be laden with more children suffering all over the world. However, this can be changed in our own little ways. In this way, I am offering a portion of this blog, mentioning some stories of our children who need our help.

Emanuel Lukwago is a sprite 7-year-old who lives in the small village of Bugonzi. He lives with his mother and two sisters. Emanuel’s father died seven years ago from AIDS. His mother and two sisters work as diggers from sunrise to sunset for meager wages. Digging is one of the lowest ranking jobs in Uganda. It is back-breaking work with a hand crafted shovel and is one of the few jobs women can get. Digging is usually for pit latrines, banana plantations, fire pits or graves. Payment for 10 hours of digging is usually 40-60 cents. (This is considered good money in Uganda as a well paid construction worker would get about $4 for same time of work.)

Three years ago, Emanuel was chosen to be part of the GCCI project. Because of this, he is the lucky one of the family who gets to attend school. Emanuel enjoys learning the basics of reading and English.

Emanuel’s day begins by walking the mile to school. After school he returns home to tend to his chicken which is part of the GCCI animal project. The chicken will provide fresh eggs for the family while Emanuel learns the responsibilities of caring for the animal. Since his mother and sisters are gone until after dark, Emanuel is home alone until their return. When they arrive home, a small meal of posho (similar to porridge or mush) will be prepared and shared between them.

Emanuel has been chosen to be part of the SIFA Africa Choir that will be touring the United States from April to September 2008. The choir will be performing to raise money for orphans like themselves whose parents have died from the AIDS pandemic in Uganda.

Although Emanuel is shy is front of others, he loves to sing. And once the music begins, all fear disappears and his contagious smile and energy engulf the room

Glory Children's City International (GCCI) is a group of more than 30 people who joined together in 2005 to make life better for a group of orphans in Masaka, Uganda. All of the officers and board members are volunteers. Administrative supplies, time, and all items needed for the GCCI project are donated by the board and other members. This is a program where 100% of the funding and resources go directly to the children.
